Northridge

It takes 40 minutes to get to Northridge from Downtown LA. Called the Jewel of the San Fernando Valley, Northridge is home to the California State University Northridge and some of the top public and private schools in the area. For this reason, this northwestern area of the Valley is a good place to put down roots if you want less of the bustle of LA.

With a population of just over 70,000, Northridge defies the traditional idea of a suburban neighborhood. It’s warm, friendly, and diverse. There’s no shortage of conveniences one associates with city life like shops, commercial centers, and a variety of restaurants. You’ll find these attractions along Reseda, Tampa, and Nordhoff streets.

Living in Northridge

As one of the safest neighborhoods in LA County, Northridge is a logical choice for families looking for a permanent address. The presence of CSUN and other top-rated schools bolsters this reputation. Kid-friendly museums, botanical gardens, parks, and dance studios make Northridge ideal for raising children.

While the residential streets of Northridge take on the quiet, laidback nature of the suburbs, residents don’t have to drive out of town to enjoy a night out in a bar or pub, or to duck into the best coffee shops and shopping centers whenever the mood strikes them.

Real estate in Northridge

Since a little more than half of Northridge residents rent their space, apartments and condominiums are a popular option to rent or to buy.

The youthful college town vibe along with the family-centric nature of the area also makes Northridge a popular choice for students, professionals, and families alike.

It’s also a great opportunity to invest in income-producing single and multi-residential properties as well as look into vacant land deals, development opportunities, 1031 exchanges, reverse exchanges, and trustee sales and purchases.
